Silesian Network of Medical Products

The Silesian Network of Medical Products was established to undertake joint ventures by Polish capital companies in the medical sector (medical equipment and products sector) in the region, which go beyond their individual capabilities.

The initial activities included joint ventures in marketing, promotion, and representation of the sector to service recipients.

The cluster currently comprises four groups of producers:

• Rehabilitation: From physiotherapy, heat, cold, and electrical therapy, to devices aiding mobility and overcoming architectural barriers, as well as simpler products related to the care of bedridden patients.
• Surgical and Orthopedic Instruments: More advanced electric devices that use electronic components.
• Diagnostic Devices: More advanced electric devices that use electronic components.
• Software: Mainly software for hospitals needed for patient management.

A cluster that provides an effective platform for collaboration and dialogue between enterprises and research and development units. It aims to efficiently utilize and combine their potentials to implement innovative solutions and technologies, transfer and absorb knowledge and experiences among cooperating entities, and undertake joint actions and projects impacting the global value chain.
