Innovative business ideas in fields such as IT, medicine and smart city will be presented by start-ups operating within the Unicorn Hub start-up platform.
The presentations will be attended by experts and representatives of organisations such as the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and the Office of the Marshal of the Lublin Voivodeship.
"This is already the fifth incubation round. We are proud that the companies have not only received funding, but have also successfully entered the market," says Agata Koprowska, Development Manager at Unicorn Hub. "We have a number of medical start-ups. We are currently incubating a start-up that proposes a non-invasive method for measuring glucose levels in people with diabetes. There are also start-ups focused on innovative methods in cosmetology, such as the use of new formulations and an innovative method for checking the quality of vision in newborn babies. There are really a lot of ideas from different industries.
"We are working on a device and software that will be for physiotherapists what X-rays and ultrasound have been for doctors," says an Iniphy representative. "Thanks to its simplicity and affordability, our solution has the potential to become the world's first universal device for physiotherapy diagnostics. We have developed a 3D scanner that can detect body shape disorders with millimetre precision and measure postural changes that are invisible to the naked eye. Modern physiotherapy is where medicine was in the 19th century, when doctors had to rely on touch, sight and the patient's words. Iniphy is bringing physiotherapy into the 21st century by addressing the biggest challenge facing physiotherapists worldwide - the lack of diagnostic tools".
"We are developing innovations in medical diagnostics, in particular for the detection of therapeutically relevant biochemical substances in body fluids other than blood. We are currently working on a solution to detect glucose levels in saliva," explains an IQ Biozoom representative.
