Polish startup IQ Biozoom has recently achieved third place in the prestigious Baltic Sea Region Health Innovation Award. The accolade recognizes their project, "IQ Biozoom - a New Era in Biomarker Testing at Home Based on Saliva Analysis," which offers a non-invasive, painless method for monitoring chronic diseases.

IQ Biozoom is at the forefront of non-invasive home diagnostics, developing technology that uses advanced biosensors to measure biomarkers in saliva. These biomarkers include glucose, cortisol, and lactates, with the goal of creating a user-friendly device for at-home health monitoring. This innovative approach aims to simplify the management of metabolic and hormonal disorders, making diagnostic tests more accessible and comfortable for users.

The Baltic Sea Region Health Innovation Award, organized by the authorities of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and BioCon Valley, is a significant event in the Baltic health sector. It gathers leaders and innovators to highlight emerging opportunities in medical technology. The award, which has been given out for the past four years, underscores new technological advancements and their potential impact on the healthcare industry.

IQ Biozoom’s CEO, Dorota Dardzińska, views this recognition as a validation of their innovative approach to health monitoring. She believes their technology will greatly enhance the convenience and speed of certain diagnostic tests, offering a valuable alternative to traditional methods.

In addition to this award, IQ Biozoom has made notable strides, including reaching the finals of the EIT Health InnoStars Awards and collaborating with leading global research institutions. Their technology is currently seeking patent protection in the EU, USA, and China.
